Our family is saddened by the passing of our beloved mother, Lois Fay Bishop, age 79, of Ragland. She entered peacefully into the presence of Christ on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Ragland, Alabama and a member of Gray’s Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 29, 2016 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City with the Rev. Doug Ford and the Rev. Curtis Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Hardin’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and again on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, Nanny and great-grandmother. The joy of her life was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward Bishop, parents Henry and Estelle Davidson, brother Charles (Betty) Davidson, and by two sisters Ima Dean (Ed) Smith and Margie (Billy) Shockley. She leaves to cherish many years of precious memories her sons, Steven (Pam) Bishop and Ricky (Karen) Bishop; her daughter Patsy (Phil) Grady; grandchildren Justin Bishop, Kevin Bishop, Kari Bishop and Christi (Randy) Davis; great-granddaughters Marrissa Bishop, Breanna Lane, Kaitlynn Lane, Abigail Davis and Adrianna Davis; her sister Judy (Michael) Brigmon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone. A part of us went with you the day God called you home.
