Obituary of Jessie Benjamin Harrison

Funeral service for J. B. “Ben” Harrison, 93 of Lincoln, will be Saturday October 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lincoln Church of Christ. Mark Martin will officiate and grandson Dr. Benjamin Friday will provide eulogy. Burial will be in Hall’s Cemetery. His family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega.
Mr. Harrison passed away at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his family on October 27, 2015 in South Carolina.
Mr. Harrison was a native of Colbert County and a resident of Talladega County since 1941. He was a member of Lincoln Church of Christ and was retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
“Ben” is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mamie Lucille Harrison.
He is survived by his daughter, Benjie H. Friday (Bryan Matuse), grandson, Dr. Benjamin S. Friday (Dr. Katie P. Friday), sister, Frankie Brakefield, several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Don McBurnett, Kenneth Pennington, Lee Bell, Glen Bennett, Gerald Pennington, Wayne Brakefield and Dennis Harrison
Honorary pallbearers will be Morgan Self, Donna Bullock, Phillip Bullock, Miles Christian, Dick Pettis, Roy Sims, Paul Mc Sherdian, O.C. Campbell, Gerald Bussey, Joe Foster, Oneal Cheatwood, Scott Ramsey and Chris Watson.
