Obituary of Arthur "Jerry" Coley

Funeral service for Arthur “Jerry” Coley Sr., 79 of Munford will be Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ed Hale will officiate. Graveside service with military honors will be at 1:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends Friday from 10 -11 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Jerry passed away October 20, 2015 at Golden Living Health Care. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Gail Hendrix Coley, parents, Malcom and Willie Coley, step-son, Bobby Dean, 4 brothers and one sister. Jerry was a native and longtime resident of Talladega County. He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran, member of Munford Baptist Church, avid golfer and loved his morning visits to Jack’s, loved his tractor and gardening and sharing his harvest with those he loved. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Glenda Coley, children, Jerry Coley (Sonya), Jeff Coley (Diann Hale), Stan Coley (Gina), Kim Smith (Russell), Penny Dean Adams (Dereek), Glen Dean (Sanna), grandchildren, Tracy Champion, Melissa Watts, Madison Coley, Kristen Cadenhead, Reagan Smith, Shelby Adams, Joshua Hughes, Buddy Dean, Dustin Coley, Graham Coley, JT Dean, Alex Hunt, Cameron Adams, Frank Dean, several loved great-grandchildren, brother, Bobby Coley, sisters, Pat Powell, Sara Hughes, and Martha Wells, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Timothy Scott Champion, Mark Watts, Dean Camp, Milton Cochran, Scott Hughes and Jimmy Mann.
