He was a 1966 graduate of Winterboro High School. He spent his life doing what he loved-- Farming. He was well known throughout the Southeast for his expertise in raising cotton, soybean and corn crops. In 2010, Joe Tom and his devoted wife and best friend, Jan, formed A&A Cattle Company. Those in the livestock industry from Alabama to the stockyards of the Midwest knew them for their innovative techniques in the cattle industry.
Joe Tom was a generous, loving man; never met a stranger, always ready to help friends and strangers alike in times of need. He gifted his friends with sound advice, down-home wisdom, and much laughter when they sought his counsel. He will be missed by a multitude of folks who were fortunate to call him friend.
Well done thou good and faithful servant!
He is survived his wife Jan Townsend Armbrester, step son, Jason Johns, brother, Wayne Armbrester and several nieces and nephews.
