Background: LaHoma Bishop was born in the small town of Sparks, Oklahoma during the influenza epidemic of 1918. Born prematurely weighing three pounds, three ounces, LaHoma was a survivor then and throughout her life. She married Jerome Dreste and his career with AT&T took them to various locations across the country. LaHoma was a homemaker who was dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She was active in the churches she attended and was an avid reader. When she lost her sight due to macular degeneration she listened to books provided by the Alabama Instutute for the Deaf and Blind. LaHoma will be remembered for her faithfulness to God and family, and as a wonderful friend.
She is survived by her Daughter: Lorene Reid (Ron) of Odenville; Sister: Pat Knell of Las Vegas, Nevada; 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-great- Grandchild
Memorial Service: 3:00 pm on Sunday September 27, 2015 at Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Cemetery: Stamford City Cemetery, Stamford, New York
Visitation: Sunday, September 27, 2015, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the church
