Funeral service for Alma Lucille Ray, 94 0f Talladega will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home.
Rev. Charles Stone will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm.
Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct.
Mrs. Ray passed away September 1, 2015.
She is preceded in death by her husband Marion Ray, parents, William and Maggie Evans, children, Marion Franklin Ray and Anthony Fincher,
brothers, Luther Evans, James D. Evans, sister, Clara Birchfield.
Mrs. Ray was a native of Chambers County and a longtime resident of Talladega since 1956. She retired from Palm Beach with 23 years of service and was a member of Craigdale Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher.
She would often volunteer at the library for the blind.
She was a loving mother and a mother of great courage.
She is survived by her daughters Melba June Thompson (Lynn) and Tommie Ray,
sister-in-law, Mavis Evans and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests for no flowers.
