Obituary of Elizabeth Frances Strickland

Funeral services for Elizabeth Frances Strickland, 80, of Talladega will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Rev. Jeff L. Adams will officiate and burial will be at Hepzibah Baptist Cemetery, Renfroe, AL. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Strickland is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Strickland, son, Eddie Strickland, parents, Joe C. and Elizabeth Germany, brothers, Joe W. Germany (Nelda), John Germany (Sara), sisters, Susie Jaffe (Sid), Jane Winsford, and Helen Ledbetter. She is survived by her son, Robert Strickland, daughters, Phyllis Strickland, Ann Strickland, Debra Payne, Wanda Strickland, grandchildren, Jonathan B. Strickland (Dacia), John Thomas Strickland (Kim), Shane Abbott, Christopher Abbott (Jaycee), Kristyn Eudes (Ben), Darrick J. Strickland, Matthew C. Strickland, Casey Freeman, 21 great-grandchildren, brother, Jim Germany (Ellen), and many nieces and nephews. Frances was a retired seamstress from Palm Beach. She was a beautiful soul who loved reading and playing in her flower beds. She was adored by any and all who had the privilege of meeting her and will be missed dearly. A stroke began the journey that would ultimately take her life late Sunday evening. We take solace in knowing that although she may be gone from this world, she will forever live on in each and every one of our hearts. Pallbearers will be Jonathan B. Strickland, Darrick J Strickland, Casey Freeman, Quenton Strickland, Christopher Abbott, Daton Presley, and Craig Strickland.
