Daniel Douglas Chandler,66 of Talladega passed away at his home August 8, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday August 11, 2015 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel, his family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the Funeral Home. The Rev Andy Mims will officiate.
Doug was a lifelong resident of Talladega, He was a Brick Mason for 45 years. He never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile.
He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Alma Chandler, son Dewayne Chandler and Dewayne mother Brenda Parton, brothers Billy Joe and Joseph Chandler, sisters Sarah Hurst, Barbie Duncan and Minnie Hester and his ex-wife and best friend Deborah Chandler. He is survived by his daughter Cassie Stamps and her mother Patricia Wyatt, daughter-in-law Margaret Chandler, grandchildren Ashleigh and Hannah Chandler, sister Janie Nelson, step-sons James and Jamie Burt, numerous nieces nephews and cousins and friends who were like family to him. The family would like to extend special thanks to Ryan of Citizens Hospice.
