Funeral services for Mrs. Betty A. Banks Haynes, 78, of Munford will be 11:00 am, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Shane Clark officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Haynes was a native and lifelong resident of Munford. She was a member of Munford Church of Christ. She was a volunteer at C. E. Hanna Elementary School and also helped with the Munford Weekly Newspaper.
She is survived by 4 sons, Garry (Angela) Banks, Jerry Banks, Eddie (Sally) Haynes, and Bill (Beth) Haynes, 3 daughters, Denise (Floyd) Hooper, Charlotte (Vincente) Torregosa, and Gail (David) Mashburn, sister, Gail (Richard) Gaines, brother, Lawrence (Nina) Austin, 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and 2 special great-granddaughters, Rayleigh Hope and Marley Rae. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Banks and husband, Herbert Haynes.
Pallbearers will be members of the Munford Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad.
