Funeral services for James Watson “Jake” Faulkner will be 2:00 pm Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Stockdale Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Stockdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Mr. Faulkner passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his residence.
Jake was a lifelong resident of Talladega. He was a member and deacon of Stockdale Baptist Church. He was the owner/operator of Jake’s Car Mart and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Mr. Faulkner is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Wallace Faulkner, 2 daughters, Tammy F. Hughes (Jim), Michelle F. Ferreira (Ken), 7 siblings, Sara Sides, Jeanette Pitts, Eunice Jenkins, Robert L. Faulkner, Jr., Judy Frost, Larry Faulkner, Gwen Houghston, and 3 grandchildren, James Hughes, Jonathan Hughes, and Adeline Ferreira.
Deacon of Stockdale Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
