Obituary of Pamela Joy Reaves Peters

May 26. 2015, our precious and sweet daughter. wife and mother, Pamela Joy Reaves Peters, 55, went to be home with Jesus. Born Sept. 2. 1959 in Talladega to Carl and Joyce Reaves she was known for her kindness and constant smile. She especially loved children and devoted her teaching career to uplift and inspire each of her students. For the last 10 years, her marriage to Joey Peters has been full of laughter, love, and travels as the two never wasted a day or pondered long over the next adventure. She will be sorely missed by countless friends and wore her AU orange and blue proudly. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Pam was preceded in death by grandparents Ray and Kara Edmiston; Wilson and Beulah Reaves. She is survived by her husband, Joey Peters, parents, Carl and Joyce Reaves, sons, Joshua Riley (Eileen) of Broomfield, Colorado, Clay Riley of Boston, Massachusetts. JoJo Peters, Matt Peters (Christy); grandchildren Jaylin Peters, Tori Peters, Todd Peters, Ty Peters, Jacie Peters; sister, Patti Reaves Burch (Tommy) of Auburn, Alabama as well as several nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2015, 5-7pm at Usrey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Central Baptist Church Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00am with Dr. Sam Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will be JoJo Peters, Matt Peters, Jaylin Peters, Jerry Edmiston, Jacky Edmiston, and Larry Edmiston.
