Obituary of Thomas E. Lackey

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Edward Lackey 91 will be Wednesday, August 21,2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Munford Baptist Church,with the Reverends Tim Thomas and William Casaday Officiating,with Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega in charge. Mr. Lackey passed away Saturday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston Al. Mr. Lackey is survived by his wife, Mrs Jean Hewitt Lackey of Munford,Al. 1 Daughter,Melanie C. Berry of Mobile Al. 2 Sons, Tom E. Lackey Jr. and William R. Lackey both of Pensacola Fla. 3 Sisters,Polly Phillips,Alexanderia,Al. Pearl Watts, Munford Al., and Ann Stephens of New Hope, Al. 1 Brother,J.C. Lackey of Pineville,W.V. 4 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mr. Lackey was a native of Clay Co. and a resident of Talladega Co. for most of his life.Member of Munford Baptist Church for 60 years.Member of the Lions Club.Served 12 years as trustee of Munford School. Member of Alabama Campers on Mission.He was chairman of board of directors of Munford Health Clinic and was retired from Monsanto Chemical.Honorary Pallbearer will be Harold Woodard.
