Obituary of Carolyn Smoot

Carolyn "Lovey" Smoot, age 71, a native of Clay Co. AL. and a resident of Fairhope, AL. passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
She was the Director of Guest Services during race week at Talladega Speedway for 30 years, and was an active worker in Children's Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Fairhope. Mrs. Smoot graduated from Talladega High School and was a graduate of the University of Montevallo.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Smoot; daughter, Kim (Johnnie) Smith; granddaughter, Taylor Rae Smith, all of Fairhope; other relatives and friends.
The family wants to thank staff of Gentiva Home Health and Hospice for all their love and care.
The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope Friday, June 21, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church in Fairhope, Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope, AL.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for First Baptist Church of Fairhope Children's Ministry or Gentiva Hospice Foundation - Camp I Believe Fund.
