Obituary of Vida Maude Ellison

Funeral service for Vida Maude Ellison, 86, of Talladega, will be Saturday at 11:00 am from the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Mrs. Ellison passed away January 23, 2014 at St. Vincent’s St. Clair Hospital. Mrs. Ellison was a native of Clay County and a resident of Talladega most of her life. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her sons: Donald Eugene Howell and Larry Redford Howell, husbands: Redford Eugene Howell and Onnie Ellison, step-son: Ronnie Ellison, grandson: Steven Grant Cochran. Her survivors include daughters: Sarah Diane Howell, Susan Elaine Hutto, Vida Angela Cooper, 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, sister, Ara Anna Horn and several nieces and nephews. She loved spending time at the beach and on her front porch. Pallbearers will be Terry Hutto, Roy Cooper, Sr., Leslie Horn, Stan Mitchell, Kyle Horn, and Vic McCrary.
