Mr. Upchurch was a lifelong member of The First Baptist Church of Talladega. He was a veteran of WWII and was retired from Citation Corporation. Mr. Upchurch is survived by his wife Virginia Elliott Upchurch, Sons: James L. Upchurch(Debbie),H. Elliott Upchurch(Lori). Daughter: Gail Upchurch Gurley(Dr. Jerry n. Gurley) and 4 Grandchildren: Emily Dean(Heath),Wes Sheffield(Meagan),Langdon Upchurch II and Conerly Upchurch, and 3 Great Grandchildren: Tanyon,Caleb,and Ellis Dean. The family would like to thank AlaCare Hospice and a special thank you to his faithful caregivers,Carolyn Richardson, Amy McKenzie and Sara Hughston.
