Obituary of Johnnie Calhoun Smith

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie “Rip” Calhoun Smith, 84, of Lincoln, will be Sunday at 3:00 PM at Blue Eye Baptist Church. Rev. Jacky Morgan will officiate and burial will be at Lincoln Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Sunday at the church from 2-3 PM. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mrs. Smith passed away March 22, 2013, at Talladega Health Care. Mrs. Smith was born and raised in Lincoln. She retired from Anniston Army Depot in 1989. She was a very active member of Blue Eye Baptist Church and was a lifelong member of Lincoln Athletic Booster Club. Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Johnny Calhoun and wife Charlotte of Lincoln and Jerry Calhoun and wife Debbie of Pell City, granddaughter, Ashley Calhoun Nicholson of Birmingham, grandsons, J.K. Davis of Lincoln and Robbie Davis of Pell City, brother, Bobby Carlisle and sister Jackie Howard of Lincoln, along with several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Charlie Carlisle, Jr., Jeff Fisher, J.K. Davis, Robbie Davis, Bill Phillips, Brian Kelly, Michael Howard, and Chris Nicholson.
