Obituary of Melba Mitchell

Graveside service for Louise Mitchell, 85, of Talladega, will be Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 2 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Dale Hooper and Rev. Johnny Jones will officiate. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30- 2:00 PM at Oak Hill cemetery. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mrs. Mitchell passed away March 12, 2013 at Citizens BMC. Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Calhoun County and a long time resident of Talladega where she retired from AIDB as a seamstress. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Mitchell, granddaughter, Stacy Williams, sister, Lois Summers, brothers, Billy, Carl and Buster Mitchell. She is survived by her children Tricia (Mike) Howell of Eutaw, AL, Dee Mitchell, Carolyn (Jeff) Williams, Cindy Williams all of Talladega, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, brother, William (Barbara) Mitchell, sisters, Sarah Langley, Jimmie Thomas, Earline Bowman, Nita (Roy) Crim and several loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tommy Batchelor, Jamie Johnson, Tim Chappell, Bill Haynes, Matt Fuller, and David Trott. Special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Citizens BMC ER adn ICU Departments.
