Valda Gursive Brand, age 100, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010.
Graveside rites will be Sunday, November 21, 2010, at 1:00PM, at Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev. J.W. Knight will officiate the services.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:00PM to 12:45PM.
Mrs. Brand was a member of Talladega Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from Bemis Bag Company after 43 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie Knight and L.V. Brand, grandson, Mikki Knight.
She is survived by her sons, Rev. J.W. Knight(Helen), Steele, Alabama, Paul Knight(Leila),Claremore, Oklahoma; daughter, Addie Hutton, Valley Grande, Alabama; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren.
Grandsons and other family members will serve as pallbearers.
