We both are so sorry for your loss, but we know we have the hope of meeting G-daddy again in Heaven. A highlight of our lives was the day our daughter married your grandson and we got the privilege of meeting her Alabama family. Our lives have been forever changed in knowing all of you. May God bring comfort to G-mama, Lela & family and also Matt, Megan and Greyson. We love you!

Lela, I was saddened when hearing at church yesterday that John was now with our Lord. He wouldn't change anything now that he has passed through death into Jesus' presence--only waiting for the rest of his family when God's plan for each one is completed here. John was truly a 'southern gentleman'...always pleasant even though it might not have been a good day for him. A wonderful friend to our family. May God hold you, Lele, John and Lewis close in the days ahead and give you His perfect peace and comfort. Love, Liz and family

"Mr. John" was a gentleman. He will be greatly missed at FBC...I enjoyed seeing him on Sunday mornings as he greeted in the hallway. He always had a big smile and kind words.
