Name: Mr. Perry Joe Doak Age: 80 Residence: Pell City, Alabama Date of Death: September 6, 2013 Place of Death: Birmingham, Background: Mr. Doak held three degrees from Georgia Southern University. He began his career as a football coach and an algebra teacher in Lyons, GA. He served as Assistant Superintendent for Wilkinson County Georgia Board of Education. Mr. Doak served as principal at Swainsboro High School for five years and then at Wheeler County High School for twenty years. The last years of his career he was Director of Adult Literacy at Heart of Georgia Tech. In whatever city he lived, Mr. Doak was always a very active member of the United Methodist Church. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and Christian. Survivors: Wife of over 56 years, Dot Doak; Daughters: Dee Dee (John) Gordon, Robyn (Bill) Thomas; Sister: Marjorie (John) Finlayson; Five Grandchildren: Jack, Rick, Katie, Casi, & Anna; One Great-Grandchild: Hannah Service: 3:00 pm on Sunday September 8, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Pell City Clergy: Rev.
