Obituary of Christine Mayo Allen

Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Mayo Allen, 82, of Talladega will be Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. Rev. Raymond Miller and Rev. Garry Wyatt will officiate and burial will be in Eastaboga Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 until time for the service. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mrs. Allen passed away January 6, 2014 at Citizens BMC. She was a long time resident of Talladega. She was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the ladies quilting club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Mayo and Beatrice Braden, husband, James Cecil Allen, son-in-law, Wesley Mitchell, grandson, Cory Magouirk, and brother Ricky Braden. Her survivors include her children, Janice A. Mitchell, Lester Allen (Pamela), Connie Morrow (Michael), Bonnie S. Magouirk (Alan), grandchildren, Rita D. Hogan (David), Kevin H. Mitchell (Vicky), Jennifer Allen, Craig Allen (Rachel), Emily Clifton (Jeremy), Eric Shierling, Tiffany Jackson (Greg), 9 great-grandchildren, brothers, Dallas Mayo (Sue), Jimmy Braden (Traci), sisters, Ailene Simmons (DeWayne), Sherry Ball (Thomas) and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kevin Mitchell, Eric Shierling, Jeremy Clifton, Greg Jackson, David Hogan, Jacob Kelely, Craig Allen, Sammy Fowler, Shane Blackwood and Tony Fowler.
