Obituary of Howard Ray Smith

Howard Ray Smith, 65, of Talladega, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2012 and was surrounded by family and friends. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 11 am at Pine Hill Cemetery. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Mr. Smith was a long time resident of Talladega but resided in Calhoun County. He worked for the City of Talladega for several years. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Howard Smith, brother, Walter Smith, Sr., step-son, Jeffrey Smith, ]granddaughter, Linda Faye Reaves, great-grandson, Zachery Reaves, niece, Shelia Smith and great niece Autumn Spurling and a great nephew Kevin McGatha. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Smith, sister, Mary Smith Cooper (Ricky), daughter, Glenda Reaves (Larry), sons, Wayne Smith (Misty), Tommy Smith (Celia), Billy Smith (Kay), 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of niece and nephews.
