Graveside service for Henry L. Sims, Jr. 69, of Talladega, will be Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Hepzibah Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Andy Mims will officiate and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Sims passed away at his home September 24, 2012.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He was the owner and operator of Sims Auto Repair since 1973. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Henry is survived by his daughter, Teresa Estes, son, Timothy Sims, sister, Judy Harvell, best friend and love of his life, Kim Tipton, all of Talladega, grandchildren, Hunter and Kristen Sims, Nicole Cotney, Rachael Lloyd and Jacob Estes, great- grandchildren, Madison Smith, Lily Lloyd, Hayden Lovette, Jaden and Mason Tipton.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Tipton, James Harvell, Eugene Pettus, Donald Harvell, Tim Oliver, and Jimmy Banks. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Carter, Raymond Horn, J.S. Willingham, Sam Willingham, George Sims, Bobby Berry and Clarence Haynes.
