She was a native of Birmingham and a long time resident of Talladega. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Talladega. She attended the Alabama School for the Blind where she was in band and played clarinet. She was a cheerleader and excelled in other sporting events. She attended the Special Olympics in Michigan in 1975 and received several medals. She later worked at AIDB and then retired as a CNA from Birmingham East Rehab Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Shirley Trott, husband, Johnnie Karl Gladden, and sister, Sandra Trott Self.
Donna is survived by her children: Jennifer Renae Jenny Baker, William Ralph Baker, Jr., and Lewis Gladden, grandchildren: Cynthia May Tillery and John Julius Friese, sister: Cynthia Trott Friese (Cliff), brother: Davis Trott (Rhonda) and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ricky McCombs, Chuck McCombs, Benny McCombs, Bobby Howell, Shawn McCombs, Terry Rickson, Danny Mann, Jason Knighten, and Billy Pete Phillips.
