Obituary of Franklin M. Knighten

Funeral service for Franklin M. Knighten, 74, of Harvest Alabama, formerly of Talladega, will be Friday at 2 PM at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel of Talladega. Dr. Sam Tate and Rev. Roberts Giddens will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
He passed away May 15, 2012 in Huntsville.
Mr. Knighten was a native of Decatur and a long time resident of Talladega. He was a musician, retired from AIDB with 40 years of service, member of Central Baptist Church and the ACB. He loved the Lord and his Church.
He is survived by his wife Betty Knighten, son, Michael W. Knighten, Daughter Teresa Lynn Knighten Summers, step-daughters, Linda Bole, Kathy Brazier, Shelia Fagg, Nancy Malone, and 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ray Fulghum, John Garrettt, Ronnie Garrett, Willie Ousley, Dennis Simmons and David Trott. Honorary pallbearers will be James Johnson, Nolan Hethcox, Thomas McGatha, Jeff Johnson, Raymond Hendrick and Joel Marer.
