Graveside service for Cynthia Randall Atkisson, 77, of Munford, will be Thursday at 10 AM at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Rev. Barry Cordiss and Rev. Mitchell Phillips will officiate. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Atkisson passed away May 1, 2012 at Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County where she graduated from Munford High School. She was a long time member of Sardis Primitive Baptist Church of Talladega. For more than 20 years, she worked at Michael’s Menswear doing alterations. She loved gardening and her livestock. Mrs. Atkisson is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ada Randall, husband, James Clyde Atkisson, son, Bruce Atkisson and brother, Curtis Randall. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Kay Runyan, son, Byron Clyde Atkisson, grandchildren, Beth Runyan, Rebecca Frietag, Bartley Atkisson, Jacob Atkisson, and James Atkisson, sister, Rebecca McNutt (Calvin), sister-in-law, Sandra Randall and 2 nieces.
