Name:Mrs. Laura Lee Meads, 85, of Ragland entered the gates of heaven on April 20, 2012.
Services were held at Ragland United Methodist Church with Bro. Doug Ford officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Background:Laura was an active member of Ragland United Methodist Church where she served as a children's Sunday School teacher for many years.
Preceded in Death by: She was one of 8 children born to the late Virgil and Grace Denton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Caffey, and by her brothers, Jack Denton and Bill Denton.
Survivors:Laura Lee is survived by her husband of 66 1/2 years, Raymond Meads, Daughter: Janice Day, Son: Gary Meads and daughter-in-law Pat Meads, Sisters: Ruth Mahan and Virgie (Jerry) Posey, Brothers: James Harold (Mary) Denton & Jerald Denton She was affectionately known as "Maw Maw" by her grandchildren, Sherrie Carter, Amy Brown, Wendy (Bobby) Moncrief, Kevin (Andrea) Meads, Great Grandchildren: Chylie Brown, DeAndre Brown, Leia Brown, Bronson Sneed, Eythan Carter, Taylor Carter, Tyler Carter, Riley Davis, Aleea Davis, Alyssa Moncrief, & Aisley Moncrief
Pallbearers were special friend, Otis Boswell, Greg Brown, DeAndre Brown, Eythan Carter, Darren Carter, Bobby Moncrief
Honorary Pallbearer was Kevin Meads
