Graveside service for Eber L. Grimes, 71 of Talladega will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Pine Hill Memorial Park at 2:00 pm. Cliff Goodwin will officiate. His family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home.
Mr. Grimes passed away February 1, 2017 at Citizens BMC.
He was a native of Coosa County, longtime resident of Talladega where he went to Talladega High School. Served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Ironaton Church of Christ. He loved the beach life, fishing and watching football.
Mr. Grimes is preceded in death by father, Thomas Grimes, mother Flossie Hottensen, and brother, Thomas D. Grimes.
His survivors include his wife of 47 years Aleen Grimes, daughter, Angela Butterworth (Duane), sister, Judy R. Pearce, sister-in-law, Janice Grimes, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brian Shirey, Robert Green, Jamie Smith, Steven Pearce, Jason Grimes, Chip Pearce, Dee Hickman, and Oliver Shirey.
