Margie Ann Nixon, 88, of Talladega, AL passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. A graveside ceremony will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 03. 2024 at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Greg Tankersley officiating. Mrs. Nixon was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, AL. She was of Baptist faith, and she loved gardening, cooking, and redecorating. She also loved her family very much, and you never left her home hungry. Mrs. Nixon helped to spoil all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ledger Lee and Flora Estes Ansley; husbands, Jimmy Nixon and Ray Curlee; brother, George Ansley, and sisters, Fay Sierra and Eyvonne Dover. Mrs. Nixon is survived by her daughters, Rita McKinney (Ronnie), Jenny Ellison (Fred), Carol Upchurch (Rickey Peters), and Gail Johnson (Steve); son, Noble Curlee (Robin); grandchildren, Jamie McKinney (Penny), Jason McKinney (Page), Nick Ellison, Jennifer Ellison (Jenny Britain), Summer Stephens, Aaron Curlee, Jay Cooper, and Abbie Cooper; 12 great-grandchildren, her sisters: Joyce Fuller, Sue Ryker, brother; Dixon Ansley, and a host of nieces and nephews. Her family would like to the staff at Talladega Healthcare for loving their “mom” as one of their own.
