Obituary of Mary Farmer Dean

Mary Farmer Dean, 87, of Munford, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Jacky Morgan officiating. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Dean was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, and she was a member of Coldwater Baptist Church. She was the owner and operator of Mary’s Beauty Salon for 58 years. She loved to fish and to spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Dean; grandson, Brandon Dean; parents, Alvin and Jeanette Farmer, and siblings, Larry Farmer, Sarah Hudgins, and R.C. Ford. Mrs. Dean is survived by her sons, Phillip Dean (Michelle), Steve Dean (Cheryl), and David Dean (Paige); grandchildren, Daniel Dean (Menda), Alex Dean (Katie), Russell Dean, Breanna Sanford, Krista Greenwood (Blake), and Corey Dean (Ingram); 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Turner (Jim) and Brenda Polegstra; sisters-in-law, Glenda Dean Coley and Hilda Enloe, and a host of nieces and nephews. Daniel Dean, Corey Dean, Alex Dean, Russell Dean, Blake Greenwood, and Damien Curry will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
