Mrs. Martha Manning Simmons, 82, of Ragland, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
Martha was a member of Hardins Chapel Bible Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Pope; parents, Hubert and Inez Manning; sister, Elsie Pervan; and brother, Aaron Manning.
She is survived by her husband, Sidney A. Simmons; daughters, Tammy Pope Thompson (Birch) and Kelly Pope Lee; granddaughter, Chloe Lee; grandson, Colt Lawler; sisters, Helen Chapman, Doris Manning, and Esther Bunt (Tony); and brothers, Stephen Manning (Janet) and Reuben Manning (Mary).
A graveside service will be held at Hardins Chapel Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, with Reuben Manning and Tim Ford officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Colt Lawler, Stephen Manning, Adam Manning, Camden Church, Joshua Manning, Seth Ford, and Marty Smith. Jeremiah Turner will serve as honorary pallbearer.
