Obituary of Donald Eugene "Sonny" Gann

Mr. Donald Eugene "Sonny" Gann, 55, of Ragland, Alabama passed away on June 24, 2018 in Ragland. 

Donald was always known to everyone as "Sonny". He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. Sonny worked at Honda Manufacturing until his retirement. He loved his job and all his co-workers. He had a special love for his little dog, Petey. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Gann; brother, Tim Gann; niece, Katie Faye Gann; grandparents John Hix and Mildred Macon; and by his uncle David Macon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Susan Gann; daughter, Jennifer Nicole Board (Brandon); mother, Faye Mather; brothers, Terry Gann (Pam), Ronny Gann (Joanie), Michael Gann (Karen) and James Gann (Connie); grandchildren, Jessica Britney Board, Marley Sunnie Board, Ava Nicole Board, and Trenton Board; aunt, Brenda Franklin; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with the Rev. Doug Ford and the Rev. Gordon Lee officiating. Interment will follow at St Clair Memorial Gardens. A meal will be provided for the family at Hardin's Chapel Fellowship Hall following the interment.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Roy Mullins, Austin Gann, Charles Bowman, Corey Echols, Alan Crowe and Mickey Gann.
