Obituary of Joseph Howard Hurst

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Howard Hurst, 87, will be Thursday December 14, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega, 11:00 am with burial in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Steve Hurst and Scott King will officiate services. Mr. Hurst passed away at his residence on December 10 2017. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am prior to services.

Mr. Hurst is survived by his Wife: Sylvia Hurst, 2 Daughters: Rhiannon Hurst and Amy Hurst (Steve), and 2 Grandchildren: Daisy King, and Joseph King.

Mr. Hurst is preceded in death by his parents William and Daisy Hurst, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mr. Hurst was a native of Talladega and a former resident of Arizona for 37 years. He was a Member of the Alabama National Guard, 464th Anti- aircraft Artillery Division during the Korean conflict and Member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers for services will be Robert Clardy, Brandon Clardy, Talmadge Spivey, David Hurst, Dewayne Harris and David Phillipp. Honorary pallbearers will be Daisy King, Joseph King, and Vance Hurst. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
