Clarence Langdon Smith, age 90, of Munford passed away April 6, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, April 10, 2017 at Munford Baptist Church with Jeff Weathers, Mike Foreman, and John Trickett officiating. Burial will follow at Munford Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Munford Baptist Church or Alabama Hospice Care of Oxford. Mr. Smith was a member of Munford Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a member of Carpenters for Christ and retired from Anniston Army Depot. He is preceded in death by his parents Harvey Lee and Dewey Smith, son Danny Langdon Smith, sister Evelyn Armbrester, brothers Elton Smith and Donald Smith. Clarence is survived by his wife of 67 years Cora Mae Smith, daughter Johnnie Sue Ford (Rickey), brother Wilmer Smith (Dean), grandchildren Wesley Ford (Flora), Destry Ford, Sheena McKibben (Rick), Jessica Barthel (Richard), Allison Smith, great-grandchildren Lance and Alisha Ford, Jackson, Logan, and Colton McKibben, Kylie Pitts, Kendall, Destiny, Taylor and J.T. Barthel. Active pallbearers will be John Trickett, Paul Hughes, Ted Lackey, Rick McKibben, Steve Mace, and Lynn Swinford, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Sellers, George Reineir, Fred Pierce, Ralph Gaither,Greg Gilliland and all deacons of Munford Baptist Church.
