Obituary of Jimmy C. Owens

Funeral service for Jimmy C. Owens, 79 of Riverside will be Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11:00 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve Johnson will officiate and Doug Stanfield will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Memorial Park. His family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Owens passed away at his home surrounded by his family members December 2, 2016. Jimmy was born on December 16, 1936 to the late William and Edith Owens. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister. Mr. Owens was a native of Talladega County and a resident of Riverside for the past 16years. He was employed by Winn Dixie for 45 years. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. His survivors include his loving wife, Joyce Smith Owens, daughters Kim O. Ledbetter (Rusty) and Jill O. McMichen (George), 5 grandchildren, Jarred (Tonia), Kayla (Josh), Kendra (Kyle), Logan and Kylie, 3 great-grandchildren, Mady, Kinley and Blakely, 4 sisters, 2 brothers and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
