The last day of camp each summer was always a milestone in her life. It was the same

this summer.

Bob Gene knew Camp Mac. Margie knew people.

Throughout her life she talked with thousands of families, and she met tens of thousands

of kids.

For over 70 years, she knew where most of them were from, she knew who most of them

were kin to, she knew most of them by first and last name.

She knew most of them.

She loved all of them ❤️

She was at camp a few days before it ended. She rode around and saw the kids. They

talked to her and she listened. Like she always did.

She didn't say much, but she smiled all day.

It was the end of one journey, and the beginning of the next one ❤️

And what a journey it was!

Margery Ann Bryan McBride, 94, of Munford, AL passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026.

A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 06, 2026,

at First Methodist Church of Talladega with Greg Leonard and Minnie Bailey officiating.

Her family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Gene McBride.

Mrs. McBride is survived by her sons, Allen McBride and John McBride (Jill Wiggins),

and three granddaughters, Emily, Riley Ann, and Jenny.

Allen Gray McMillian, Alvin Bresler, Andy Dishman, David Hillman, John Bryan, and

Howell Bailey will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are Amanda Wilkerson, Jean McMillian, Marian Clark, Dewayne

Clark, Leigh Brooks, Skye Walter, Gayle McMillian, Michael Scales, Bruce Willbanks,

Reid Carpenter, Mary Hunter Maxwell, Sarah Dingivan, Elienna Minniefield, Nancy

Strunk, Louie Pettis, Hugh O'Neal, Robin Beverly, and the full-time Camp Mac Staff.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. McBride’s family asks that donations be made in her memory to

the Bob Gene McBride/ Vivian Davis Pastoral Care Fund at First Methodist Church of

Talladega, 400 East St. S., Talladega, AL 35160.
