Charles Edward Mabrey, 83, of Munford, AL passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. His family will receive friends on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega from 11 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

Mr. Mabrey was born in Coumbus, GA on December 18, 1942. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his greatest love was his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, EC Mabrey; mother, Christine Correia; brother, Mikey Mabrey, and sister, Sandra Underkofler.

Mr. Mabrey is survived by his children, Paula McEwen (Roger), Melissa Newton (Phillip), Sherry Ray, Michelle Varnes (Kevin), and Ray Mabrey, and a gaggle of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he told were all his “favorite”. He is also survived by his brother, Chuck Haynes (Susan), several nieces and nephews, and a circle of friends which he held dear.
