It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that Larry Gene Sivley, 77, of Talladega, Alabama passed away quietly at home on July 6, 2026.

Larry was born on April 13,1949 to Gene and Doris Sivley in Glencoe, Alabama. After graduating from Glencoe High School in 1967, he went on to study Specialized Electronics Engineering at Gadsden State Junior College and at the University of Alabama.

For 36 years he was employed as an electronics engineer at Elbit Systems of America where he repaired electronic parts that kept multi-million-dollar jets in the air.

Since he was 9 years old, he loved playing guitar. He was the very talented lead guitar player in The Bleus, a popular band who traveled the Southeast several years in the 1960’s.

In 2000, he met Esther Ledbetter Bishop, and they wed on July 7, 2001.

Larry is survived by his wife, Esther and scores of friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
