Edward Franklin “Bo” Curlee, 98, of Munford, AL passed away on Monday, June 08, 2026. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with David Gaither officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Curlee was a native of Talladega and lived most of his life in the Stockdale community. He was an extremely hard-working man of many trades including electrical work, working on pinball machines, and digging septic tanks. He even dug graves at Stockdale Baptist Church Cemetery for many years. Bo enjoyed camping with his family and fishing. An all-around good man, he had a kind, servant’s heart and would help anyone in any way that he could. Mr. Curlee was a loving and devoted husband, father, and “Pa-Paw Bo” who will always be remembered as a hero to his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Julian Curlee, mother, Maudie Maddox Curlee, and 9 siblings.

Bo is survived by his wife of 80 years, Frances Curlee; sons, Johnny Frank Curlee (Teresa) and Tommy Ray Curlee (Donna); grandchildren, Jeremy Curlee (Vicky), Traci Curlee (Jason), Amy Grogan (Frank), Christopher Curlee (Misty), Ashley Clardy (Rob), and Corey Wilson (Traci); 18 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, George William “Bill” Curlee, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers family request donations may be made to the Alzheimer's or Heart Associations or charity of choice.
