Nettie Virginia “Jenny” Weldon, 93, of Munford, Alabama passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 03, 2026, at Stockdale Baptist Church with David Gaither officiating. Her family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Stockdale Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Weldon was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. She graduated from Munford High School in 1951, and she was a lifelong member of Stockdale Baptist Church. Jenny was the co-owner of A-Z Vacuum Store alongside her husband, Jowel. She enjoyed reading, thrifting, and visiting the library. Mrs. Weldon always made sure that everyone was taken care of and was well known for her hospitality. She was an amazing mother and grandmother who loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply. She often entertained her grandchildren in various ways, but her vivid and creative stories are memories that will be cherished by them forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jowel “Nig” Weldon; sisters, Dottie Clark and Ruth Mitchell; brothers, Guy Gurley and Horace Horn, and great-granddaughter, Allie Brewer.

Mrs. Weldon is survived by her daughter, Sandy Foshee (Ron); sons, Steve Weldon (Sue) and Lance Weldon (Carol); sisters, Bobbie Fuller and Sissy Sanders (Don); grandchildren, Heath Foshee (Nancy), Ashley Ingram (Evan), Susan Brewer (Michael), Matt Weldon (Morgan), Tina Weldon, and Johnathan Weldon (Brooke); 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; lifelong friend, Patsy Ruth Adams, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jacob Hollingsworth, Heath Foshee, Caleb Walls, Matt Weldon, Evan Ingram, and Johnathan Weldon will serve as pallbearers.

Michael Brewer, Seth Ingram, Carson Foshee, Garrett Foshee, Mason Brewer, Ty Weldon, and Tanner Weldon will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Weldon’s family asks that donations be made in her memory to Stockdale Baptist Church: 3673 Stockdale Rd., Munford, AL 36268.
