Jimmy Wayne Gallahair, 70, of Munford, AL passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date.

Mr. Gallahair was a native and lifelong resident of Munford, AL who graduated from Munford High School in 1973. He was a journeyman lineman with IBEW Local 443 for over 30 years—a job that he truly loved and appreciated every day. Jimmy was very involved in his community where he was a member of Munford Church of Christ and coached youth baseball for many years. He was an avid Munford Athletics fan his entire life. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, music, and playing his many guitars. Softspoken and kind, he was known for his generous, giving spirit and respect for everyone. Mr. Gallahair was a devoted family man who was the best father and “Papa” to his sons and grandchildren. He loved them deeply and without fail. He will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ethel Gallahair, brother, James Gallahair Jr., and sister, Pauline Dorl.

Mr. Gallahair is survived by his sons, Ben Gallahair and Tim Gallahair (Amber); grandchildren, Landon Gallahair, Rylan Gallahair, Sophie Gallahair, Brooklyn Gallahair, and Rhett Gallahair; sister, Libby Rich; brother, Forrest Gallahair (Linda), and host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, an account will be set up in Mr. Gallahair’s name at First Bank of Alabama in Munford. The account will be open from June 01, 2026 until June 31, 2026. All donations made to the account will go to the Munford High School Athletics Program in memory of Mr. Gallahair.
