Jerry Ray Gilliand, 83, of Wilsonville, AL passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. A graveside ceremony will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery. Dr. Robert Klotz will officiate the service.

Mr. Gilliand was a native of Talladega and graduated from Talladega High School where he was involved in various sports. He later graduated from Jacksonville State University with a bachelor's degree in finance. After graduation, Jerry went to work for GMAC where he retired after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed staying up to date on current events, and he was an avid Auburn University fan. Mr. Gilliand was a very devoted and loving father and “Granddaddy”.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Melson Long, father, Robert Long, and brother, Robert Long Jr.

Mr. Gilliand is survived by his daughters, Kim Henderson (Jerry) and Melinda Saettel, grandchildren, Daniel Bowden, Bryson Saettel, and Ethan Saettel, and a host of cousins.
