Mary Ann McGowin Cartee, 84, of Cropwell, passed away on May 16, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sara June and James McGowin, and her brother, Robert McGowin.

She is survived by her husband, David Cartee; son, Billy Jack Cartee (Amy); daughters, Anji Bishop (Eric), Tami Cate (Shane) and Leah Cartee (John); grandchildren, Jeremy Griffith, Jessica Glover (Jeremy), Kori Brown (Ryan), Dylan Scalf, Nick Scalf, Kati Staples (Drew), Lorel Stano (Chris), Tavner Green (Lily), Macy Cartee, and Bella Cartee; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at New Life Assembly of God at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
