Paul Douglas Pettis Obituary
Paul Douglas Pettis, 68, of Lincoln, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A graveside ceremony will be held in his honor at Blue Eye Baptist Cemetery on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. with Jessie Blanton officiating.
Mr. Pettis was a native and lifelong resident of Lincoln, AL, and he attended Lincoln High School. He ran a diesel truck wash for over ten years. Paul retired as a truck driver who transported United States mail for FedEx. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being on his tractor. Mr. Pettis was very popular growing up. His brother even jokingly claims that he was only known as “Paul’s brother” throughout the years. Paul was an extremely outgoing person who never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Red” Pettis, mother, Martha Pettis, and an infant sister.
Mr. Pettis is survived by his daughter, Paula Pettis; son, Austin Pettis; brother, Charles Pettis (Melissa); 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and niece, Autum Haywood (Anthony).
Charles Pettis, George Nichols, Rusty Yarbrough, Jeffrey Thrasher, and Shaun Mann will serve as pallbearers.
