Lawrence “Larry”Henry Potter, 57, of Birmingham, Al. passed away May 6, 2026.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Cummings (Trey); brother, John Potter; nieces and nephews, Serabeth Potter, JB Potter, Colt Potter, Kinsley Cummings and Marian Cummings; aunts, Penni Howard (Isaac), Peggy Potter; uncle, John Robertson (Katie); cousins, Jennifer Keith (Brien), Kyle Howard (Heather), Dylan Howard, Alice Fox (Dusty), Jack Robertson (Deanne), Moran Robertson, Kaiden Howard, Isaac Howard (Kendall), Sarah Robertson, Corabeth Robertson, John Paul Howard ,and Jacob Howard. Also some friends that held a special place in Larry’s life; Rita Melvin (Jerry), Pastor Patrick Diggs, and Morris Kimani (Alice).

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Al. with Pastor Patrick Diggs officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Larry Potter.
