Michael “Mike” Roy Brown, 77, of Alpine, AL passed away on Saturday, February 07, 2026. A graveside ceremony will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Alpine Cemetery with Rev. John Bradley Carlisto officiating.
Mr. Brown was a native of Talladega but had lived in Alpine since 1990. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Alpine. He was a former employee at Cooley Motor Company and Colonial Chevrolet. Later, he was the owner and operator of M&J Auto Sales. In retirement, Mike became his wife’s favorite waiter at The Alpine Café. He also became an excellent cook in his own right, treating friends and family to authentic Texas-style meats. He introduced many people to links and briskets long before T.V. food shows, and he also offered them with his signature sauce.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alston “Bubba” Brown, parents, Frank and Troy Brown, and sister, Debbie Danelutt.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Kyle Killough Brown; son, Taylor Brown (Ashley); granddaughter, Hailey Mills (Blake); grandsons, Riley Brown and Tucker Brown; and great-grandson, Hudson Mills.
