Jimmy Earl Howard Obituary

Jimmy Earl Howard, of Pell City, Alabama, was born on November 1, 1943, and passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Corbina Jean Howard; his parents, Earl and Lela Howard; and multiple siblings.

A faithful member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church, Jimmy loved the Lord immeasurably and was a faithful servant. He was the very definition of a family man and came from a large, loving family that meant everything to him.

Jimmy is survived by his three children: Scott (Sharron) Howard, April (Jamey) Willis, and Russell (Cindy) Howard. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Bailey Madison (Cary) South, William Allder Howard, Jameson Howard Willis, Grayson Cole Willis, AnnaLynn Elise Howard, and Nathan Ray Eady. He is also survived by his siblings, Glenn (Billie Rose) Howard and Vickie (Danny) Stevens, along with numerous nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.

Jimmy was married to the love of his life, Corbina, and together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and hard work. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and carried that sense of duty and integrity throughout his life.

A member of the Pell City High School Class of 1962, Jimmy enjoyed staying connected with his classmates and routinely attended class luncheons. He was an avid turkey hunter and a devoted fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide — always ready with a heartfelt “Roll Tide Roll.”

For many years, Jimmy was deeply involved in his community, where he coached countless youth in baseball and football. He left a lasting impact on generations of young people in the Pell City community. He was admired and respected not only by his own children, but by many whose lives he touched along the way.

Jimmy retired from Lehigh Cement Plant after more than 40 years of dedicated service. His strong work ethic and loyalty defined both his professional and personal life.

Jimmy Earl Howard will be remembered for his unwavering faith, deep love for his family, service to his community, and the steady, loving presence he was to all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on through his family and friends.
