It is with profound love that we announce the passing of Geneva Phillips on February 06, 2026, at the age of 93. A graveside ceremony will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M on Monday, February 09, 2026, at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Steve Heartsill officiating.
Geneva was born on June 06, 1932, and lived her life based on faith. She was a member of Talladega Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. Her career spanned many years at the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center in Montgomery, AL. After her retirement, she moved home to Bemiston. There she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She also had a deep love for her Boston Terrier, Barney. Mrs. Phillips was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother who will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Edwin W. Phillips; daughter, Kathy Phillips; mother, Nona Moxley; father, Noble Moxley; brother, Laverl Moxley; sister, Lois Bean, and niece, Cindy Roberts.
Mrs. Philips is survived by her daughters, Connie Freeman (Tony) and Donna Phillips (Mike Beatty); 2 granddaughters; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, and 1 nephew.
Randy Folsom, Gary Taylor, Butch Carter, Tony Haywood, Chance Haywood, and Jimmy Scott will serve as pallbearers.
Her family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Julie Smith, Lakerria Taylor, Lee Wood, and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
