Mrs. Betty Jane Reaves Beaucham, 80, of Wedowee, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home in Pell City, Alabama on February 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She has entered into the presence of her Savior, whom she faithfully served throughout her life.
Betty was born to Lula Matilda Reaves and John Thomas Reaves. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Bessie French; and her brothers, Melvin Reaves and Wylie Reaves.
She shared a loving marriage of 55 years with her devoted husband, Robert Beaucham. Betty spent many years living in Fayetteville, Georgia, where she lovingly raised her two daughters. She enjoyed traveling and sewing, finding joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments.
Betty was a stay-at-home mother for many years, fully devoted to her family. She dedicated 20 years of her professional life to BellSouth/AT&T, where she was known for her reliability, strong work ethic, and kindness. Above all, she was an incredible Mom and a deeply cherished Memaw who adored her grandchildren.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Betty was a longtime member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Georgia, where she was actively involved and took great joy in serving in the children’s ministry. She found true fulfillment in serving others and sharing her love for Christ through both her words and her actions.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Beaucham; her daughters, Charisse Jennings (Brian) and Christy Doss (Ryan); her cherished grandchildren, Madylin Jennings, Bella Jennings, Caleb Jennings, Wyn Jennings, London Doss, and Liam Doss; her brothers, James Edward Reaves and Gerald Reaves; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A private graveside service will be held at Levens Baptist Church in Wedowee, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ady’s Big Army (www.adysbigarmy.org/donate), a cause close to their hearts.
