Adam "Blake" Dobbs Obituary

Adam “Blake” Dobbs,38, of Lincoln, AL passed away after a six-month battle with severe heart failure. His soul left his body on Thursday, January 29, 2026. We are so broken by this loss but know it’s God’s will.

Blake was born on August 27, 1987, at Fort McClellan, AL. He attended Oxford Elementary School, Oxford Middle School, and Bob Jones High School in Huntsville, AL where he was a fantastic athlete. He worked in construction by trade. He built many homes and structures in Lincoln and the surrounding areas.

Adam Blake was a loving husband to his wife, Bridget, and a devoted family man. He loved his children, Rylan and Evelyn, more than anything. He was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, Laci Rowe, Spencer Rowe (Maddie), Dalton Rowe (Grace), and Trevor Truitt (Faith).

He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed Auburn University and Jacksonville State University football. Blake loved to follow Evelyn and Rylan’s extracurricular activities which included: Lincoln High School Marching Band, Alpha Extreme competitive cheer, flag football, volleyball, softball, football, wrestling, and track. He always cheered them on no matter what they were doing.

Blake’s nourishment came from chicken fingers, ketchup, French fries, and peanuts with Dr. Pepper. He was fascinated by conspiracy theories and the spiritual world, and he loved Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his father, John F. Dobbs, paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Francis Patterson Dobbs, and maternal grandfathers, James L. “Buddy” Malone and Malcolm Presley.

Blake is survived by his wife, Bridget Agnew Dobbs; son, Rylan Christian Hayes; daughter, Evelyn Nicole Dobbs; mother, Sheila K. Malone; great-grandmother, Marjorie Vincent Presley; brother, Chris Rowe (Angie); sister, Jennifer Rowe, and a host of special family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 08, 2026, at Refuge Baptist Church in Lincoln with Rev. Daryl Hammonds officiating. A visitation for family and friends will follow directly after the service. Casual dress is encouraged as Blake requested a simple, humble get together.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to his family’s GoFund Me page or to Lincoln High School Wrestling Program in Evelyn Dobbs’s name.
